Who we are
Milstead Baptist Church gathers on Main Street NE in Conyers to worship God, teach the Scriptures, and serve our community. We are Baptist in conviction and warm in practice — a congregation where members know each other's names, kids grow up around the same faithful adults, and visitors are treated like guests in a home rather than faces in a crowd. Whatever brought you to this page, you are welcome to come and see for yourself.
What we believe
The convictions that shape our preaching, our singing, and the way we treat one another.
The Bible
We believe Scripture is God's trustworthy Word, sufficient for salvation and for daily life. That's why our preaching works through the text itself rather than around it.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus lived, died for sinners, and rose again. Our hope is not in our record but in His finished work on the cross.
Grace through faith
Nobody earns a place in God's family. Salvation is a gift received by faith and lived out in gratitude and obedience.
Baptism & the Lord's Supper
As a Baptist church we practice believer's baptism by immersion and gather at the Lord's table as a family remembering Christ together.
The local church
Christians are meant to belong somewhere. Membership here means committing to a real group of people you can be known by and cared for.

We want our neighbors in Conyers to hear the gospel clearly and see it lived out in the way we serve, give, and forgive.
Our story
Baptist churches in Georgia have long been built by ordinary families who wanted a place to worship near home — and that's the story of Milstead too. Generation after generation has been baptized here, married here, mourned here, and sent out from here. Today the congregation carries that same simple aim: faithful worship, honest preaching, and a church family that shows up. New chapters are still being written, and there's room in them for you.
